MACADAMIA NUTS
Crunchy, delicious macadamia nuts grown in Hawaii’s volcanic soil
Macadamia nut trees were first brought to the Hawaiian Islands over 100 years ago from their native land, Australia, but were mainly used for ornamental and shade purposes. It wasn’t until the early to mid-20th century that macadamia nuts were cultivated and harvested to enjoy as a delicious food item. Since then Hawaii has become one of the largest producers of premium macadamia nuts in the world and the leader in cultivation techniques.
For generations our farmers have been picking the finest macadamia nuts from the Big Island of Hawaii. Aloha Farms Hawaii offers whole, half, and diced macadamia nut kernels in commercial grade for usage in cooking and confectionaries.
Grown in the rich volcanic soil, our macadamia nuts are naturally sweet, yield a light creamy color and exude a buttery texture taste profile. Nuts from other parts of the world are usually smaller, more yellowish in color and have a denser texture.
Aloha Farms Hawaii is an active member of the Hawaii Macadamia Nut Association and follows the Nutrient Management, Integrated Pest and Orchard Floor and Canopy Management methods are used.
